Osmond adopts FEMA-approved Local Hazard Mitigation Plan update

Clerk Brittney Timmerman informed the council that the city's Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP) 2025–2030, prepared by the Lower Elkhorn and Lewis & Clark Natural Resources Districts, had received FEMA approval. Council unanimously approved Resolution 2025-7 adopting the LHMP and committing the city to coordinate mitigation strategies identified in the plan.
The resolution notes that the Hazard Mitigation Plan process is a condition of certain federal disaster-mitigation funding under the Robert T. Stafford Act. Council members recorded their approval by roll call vote and the mayor declared the resolution adopted.
