The Anamosa City Council on June 22 approved two development agreements with Forge, Inc., adopting Resolution 2026-35 for the Northlands Second Addition and Resolution 2026-36 for the Kouba Second Addition. Both resolutions authorize annual-appropriation tax incentives and pledge certain tax-increment revenues to repay the agreements; the motions passed on unanimous roll calls.
Council members also approved third and final readings of Ordinance 971 (division of taxes for the 2026 Kouba Second Addition Housing Urban Renewal Area) and Ordinance 972 (division of taxes for the 2026 Northland Second Addition Housing Urban Renewal Area) under Iowa Code section 403.19. The ordinances and resolutions were moved and seconded by council members and recorded as approved without opposition. The public hearings on both agreements were opened and closed with no public comment. The council did not specify dollar values of the incentives in the meeting record.
