The Rolesville Board of Commissioners authorized a purchase agreement on July 21 to acquire three parcels adjacent to Main Street Park for $965,000, a move staff said is intended to expand park frontage and program space. Staff told the board the seller accepted the town’s offer and that the town will place $20,000 in due‑diligence funds, with a 45‑day review period for survey and environmental assessments.
Town staff said consultants are prepared to mobilize for the due‑diligence work and that the purchase agreement, if accepted, would move to a 15‑day closing period after due diligence. The board approved authorization for the town manager to execute the purchase agreement. The transaction is conditional on satisfactory due diligence findings and final board confirmation if any material issues arise.
