Humboldt gas utility reports staff training, annual filing and plans for GPS mapping and new equipment

Humboldt Natural Gas Manager Eugene Betz told the board that he and colleague Mike Beaner trained with Terry Hanson on March 10, 2025 and attended the North Dakota–South Dakota Pipeline Safety Conference in Sioux Falls on March 11–12, 2025. Betz also reported he had completed and submitted the utility's 2024 annual report.
Betz advised the board about updated mapping requirements from the PUC and said the utility is evaluating GPS mapping equipment and a new piece of meter bar equipment to improve operations. The board scheduled a demonstration of GPS mapping equipment for the April 21, 2025 meeting to review options.
