City Attorney Bobby Lingold recommended a board order amending building permit and inspection fees; the board adopted the order on a unanimous vote Oct. 7. The minutes record the motion was made by Alderman Grantham and seconded by Alderman Herrin.
The board also approved the claims docket and the minutes of Sept. 16, 2025 and authorized Mayor Trey Gunn and City Clerk Linda Wigley to sign the City of Florence Municipal Compliance Questionnaire for the fiscal year ending Sept. 30, 2025. Motions for those items were carried unanimously. An ad to recruit a water/sewer supervisor in the Rankin County News was also authorized.
