The board then approved invoice M25017-H-1F for $8,281.27 for backflow preventer modifications (moved by Alderman Brian Grantham, seconded by Alderman Brent Sistrunk) and invoice M25017 I 1F for $7,467.16 for excavation and assistance with 6" and 12" insertion valves (moved by Alderman Mason Herrin, seconded by Alderman Kyle Martin). Each motion passed by a unanimous vote of the board members present.
The payments were described as repairs performed under the extraordinary terms and conditions of MSI's current contract with the city. The board did not request additional public discussion before approving the payments.
