Canaan Foundation plans Oct. 26 25th‑anniversary gathering at Colonial Theatre

The Canaan Foundation will mark its 25th anniversary Oct. 26, 1:00–4:00 p.m. at the Colonial Theatre and is seeking donors, former and current board members, grant recipients and supported organizations to attend; the Recreation Commission will be represented.
Commissioner Marilisa Camardi reported that the Canaan Foundation is organizing a 25th‑anniversary event on Oct. 26 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Colonial Theatre and is inviting donors, past and present board members, grant recipients and organizations that have been supported to attend. She said the foundation will provide tables and that she will attend as a representative of the Events Committee and the Recreation Commission.
No formal action was taken beyond adding the item to the Treasurer’s report by motion. The commission did not vote on sponsorship or funding for the event during this meeting; members noted they will have more information at next month’s meeting about what, if anything, the commission will set up at the event.
