Castle Bid 2025-1 suspended 90 days; board moves $245,000 to capital projects

District Engineer Tommy Perry told the board that the Castle Bid contractor requested a delay because of a high water table; the board approved suspending Castle Bid 2025-1 for 90 days. "Due to the water table being high the contractor agreed with the district to delay the project for 90 days," Mr. Perry advised.
Following that action, the Board also authorized transferring $245,000 from the General Fund to the Capital Projects fund to ensure funding is available for the project when it resumes. The motions were made and seconded during the meeting; the suspension and transfer were recorded in the minutes as approved.
