Pixley PUD authorizes submission of updated Corrective Action Plan after DDW TCP compliance order

The Pixley Public Utility District board authorized staff on June 8, 2026, to submit an updated Corrective Action Plan (CAP) to the Division of Drinking Water (DDW) in response to a TCP compliance order covering Wells 3A, 4A, 5 and 6 (Order no. 04_12_26J_19). The compliance order requires the updated CAP and public notification by June 30, 2026, and a compliance certification and quarterly reporting beginning July 10, 2026.
District Engineer Maija Madec told the board PPUD had submitted comments on a Construction Funding Agreement from the State Water Resources Control Board and that staff is updating the CAP—primarily to revise schedules now that a funding agreement is anticipated. On motion by Board Vice President David Terrel, seconded by Matthew Martinez, the board authorized staff to submit the updated CAP by the June 30 deadline. Staff emphasized the updated CAP will document the district’s planned schedule and actions to address the DDW Compliance Order.
The action starts a time‑sensitive compliance path: public notice of the water quality violation must be issued by June 30 and a compliance certification form filed by July 10; quarterly reporting is required thereafter to report corrective actions taken.
