Well 4A construction finished; Pixley PUD prepares grant closeout and sampling follow‑up

Pixley Public Utility District staff reported at the June 8, 2026 board meeting that construction of Well 4A under a Department of Water Resources drought‑relief grant is complete and the Notice of Completion was filed with Tulare County on May 27, 2026. District Engineer Maija Madec said final closeout documentation and the district’s final reimbursement request are being prepared for submission by the end of the month.
Operations Supervisor Robert Masters said initial water quality sampling collected in May 2026 has come back "good" and that an electrical alarm setting on one piece of equipment needs review. The board received the update and no additional action beyond closeout processing was requested at the meeting.
The completion clears a major construction milestone for the grant‑funded project; staff will finalize reimbursement requests and address the alarm setting before moving the project to final administrative closeout.
