City Engineer Tim Parker brought multiple agenda items on the HWY 49 Eagle Post Road sanitary sewer additions project. The board approved Pay Request #7 to Hemphill Construction Company, Inc. in the amount of $12,900.20 for Phase II work; the motion was made by Alderman Brian Grantham, seconded by Alderman John Banks, and carried with Alderman Mason Herrin recorded as not participating for that vote.
Separately, the board authorized and directed Mayor Trey Gunn to execute a contract with Thornton Construction Company, Inc. for Phase III of the project, pending review and approval of contract documents by the city attorney. That motion carried with the same participation pattern noted in the minutes (Alderman Herrin not participating in that vote). The board also directed City Engineer Tim Parker to continue project coordination.
