Ponce Inlet Essential Services Board administers oaths, elects leadership and adopts 2026 schedule

Chair Cox called the Town of Ponce Inlet Essential Services Advisory Board to order at 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 8 and Deputy Town Clerk Stephanie Gjessing administered Oaths of Office to newly seated members.
Mr. McConaughey nominated Mr. Cox to serve as Chair, seconded by Mr. Pulver; Mr. Pulver nominated Ms. Valerien for Vice‑Chair, seconded by Mr. Cox. Both nominations passed by 5‑0 consensus.
The board unanimously adopted the meeting agenda as presented and approved the April 3, 2025 meeting minutes by consensus. Deputy Clerk Gjessing presented the tentative 2026 meeting dates and asked whether the board wished to shift the start time; members agreed to retain the 5:30 p.m. start time and Chair Cox moved to accept the schedule, a motion that passed 5‑0.
The organizational actions set the board’s leadership and calendar for the year and reaffirmed procedural continuity as staff and members begin work on capital requests, the South Peninsula Drive sidewalk project, and scheduled joint meetings with other Town boards.
