City engineer identifies three streets where water-line work would affect paving

City Engineer Travis Hernandez told the Board that a revised project memo removed paving from the current water/wastewater scope and that water-line work would still affect three specific corridors. He identified the streets as Jefferson Street (from Highway 19 East to the dead end), Washington Street (from Olive Street East to Highway 28), and Oak Street (from Marvin Avenue north to Cherry).
Hernandez said the decision to remove paving from the bond-funded scope was to keep the bond focused on utility replacement and increase eligibility for grants. The issue of whether and when paving would be completed was discussed as a follow-up item; the Board did not adopt paving plans at the special meeting and instructed staff to return with a rate and project update at the May 5 meeting.
