Florence authorizes 2025–2029 agreement with Volunteer Fire Department

On the recommendation of City Attorney Bobby Lingold, the Florence mayor and board authorized Mayor Trey Gunn to sign an agreement between the City of Florence and the Florence Volunteer Fire Department effective Oct. 1, 2025, through Sept. 30, 2029.
Alderman Brent Sistrunk moved for approval, Alderman Kyle Martin seconded, and the motion carried unanimously. The minutes record the agreement dates but do not include the agreement text or funding and service details; the board authorized the mayor to sign the document.
