Public works wraps Phase IV paving; council alerted to failing streetlight on Illinois Avenue

At the Dec. 10 council meeting, the Public Works Supervisor reported completion of Phase IV paving on WV Avenue and Kentucky Avenue and said the department is wrapping up work for the year. Councilor Charlene Louk relayed a compliment from a resident about the contractor's paving work.
Councilor Rick Lafferty raised a separate infrastructure item, noting a streetlight in the 600 block of Illinois Avenue is failing; he said he would provide the pole number to the mayor for follow-up. The minutes record no vote or funding decision related to the streetlight at this meeting.
