Village approves developer coordination for Lot 60 on Emily Road; Walter Crossing building occupied

Village Administrator Curt Erickson reported the Village had received a signed developer's agreement for Lot 60 on Emily Road, where a four-unit building is planned. Erickson said the contractor was directed to coordinate utility connections with Public Works Director Chris Statz and that a Plan Commission meeting will be scheduled with the Looyes to review project progress. Erickson reminded the board that at a prior Plan Commission meeting both units must be completed by the end of June 2026 to avoid full payment for the lot.

Erickson also told the board that Walter Crossing received occupancy approval for a five-unit building and residents have begun moving in. The administrator observed that, with a new village planner and increased engineer involvement, the Village should consider whether the current $7,500 developers' agreement fee is too low and may need to be increased.
