Commission approves sale of retired Sterling fire engine for $18,000

Rife said the department intends to list the vehicle at an established purchase price of $18,000 on a marketplace that specializes in municipal fire equipment, rather than auctioning it on a general heavy-equipment auction site.
Commissioners discussed valuation and disposal options; Commissioner Bundy moved and Commissioner Rowland seconded approval of the sale, which passed 5-0. The sale is to proceed under the City's Financial Policies for disposal of assets valued above $1,000.
