A staff member (S4) updated the commission that the owners of Woodview Apartments intend to invest roughly $5,000,000 in building repairs, including interior, exterior and accessibility upgrades. "All in all, they expect to spend about $5,000,000 in groups," S4 said, and added that work would include façade improvements and bringing parking and accessibility closer to current standards.
S4 and commission members clarified the project would not add units and would remain within the existing building footprint; staff estimated construction would begin next year. Commissioners asked about unit counts (S4 referenced an approximate unit count in the low 80s) and whether the repairs would affect parking or trigger additional zoning requirements.
