Green Mountain Power seeks permission to return and finish Grassy Brook Road work

Green Mountain Power representatives told the Brookline Selectboard they are requesting permission to return to town as early as April to finish work on Grassy Brook Road, part of GMP’s Zero Outage Initiative that GMP said will conclude on Sept. 30, 2026. GMP representatives said the project will begin at the north intersection of Grassy Brook Road and Hill Road and continue to the bottom of Whitney Hill Road; the company will install new overhead poles and does not plan any underground installations.
The GMP representatives left copies of project maps and a standard agreement with Town Clerk Marjorie Ray. The Selectboard noted the Town’s paving and culvert schedule and discussed coordination; there was no formal vote recorded on GMP’s request at this meeting.
