Bruce Mello, the town’s Building Commissioner, reported that Barbara Bourne is determining whether the Kindle School is interested in using the old school building. Mello proposed holding a second public meeting on town buildings, but other Selectboard members said the town should develop options, benefits, risks and costs first. The board intends to ask residents to approve $15,000 to fund research that would create those materials.
Mello also noted the insulation contract with Farnum and said Vice-Chair Doug Wellman would not move to reconsider the insulation project; Chair Mike DeSocio and member E. Mark Bills agreed. DeSocio said he would like to see whether there was email follow-up from the public before signing the contract.
