Three Oaks police seek CAD funding from county; chief reports short-term rental citation

Chief Krause updated the committee that the CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) committee has asked County Commissioners for funding. "No commitments yet. A grant may become available," he said, describing the funding outreach as ongoing.
Krause also reported enforcement action on short-term rentals, saying he had issued a citation for an unregistered STR. Manager Faulkner said there had been discussion at a Planning meeting and at the DDA about revisiting the fee schedule for hosted short-term rentals after a downtown business owner objected to the fee level.
