The Brookfield Select Board discussed a volunteer proposal to manage town website functions and agreed to invite Aaron Crewman to take on the role. Crewman would act as the town's technical contact, train committee users, liaise with the ISP/developer Thor Works, maintain email addresses and implement a read-only calendar so town events can be posted in a central place. "He would...be the go-to person for tech help," a board member said.
The board noted the role is volunteer and discussed possible future website upgrades to improve content and functionality; members asked Crewman and staff to explore costs and report back by December or at the next budget cycle if funds are needed. The board emphasized select-board oversight for any new content and suggested starting with calendar implementation and basic maintenance.
