Resident presses board to identify source of trailer complaint, says notification to White River damaged Amy’s credibility

At the public-comment portion of the meeting, a resident who was addressed as Jack asked the board why town staff had notified White River Ambulance about remarks made by resident Amy at a prior meeting and said the notification had harmed her credibility. "She was speaking as a resident and your representative...Her credibility there is shot," the commenter said, asking that Amy be put on the next meeting agenda so she can address the matter.

Jack also pressed the board for the name of the person who reported an alleged trailer on his property. He said he had responded to the zoning administrator and asked to be told who made the complaint: "I'm entitled to that name, and I would like it very much," he said. Chair John Benson and other board members said the zoning administrator, Steve Reed, had been alerted and was investigating; the board agreed to ask Steve to follow up with Jack and Amy so the matter could be closed.

Board members said they understood the concern and that the town would seek to close the loop: if a complaint produced a notice, staff should report back. Committee member Stuart (speaker 3) said he would call the zoning administrator this week and ask him to follow up with the resident. The board also agreed to place Amy on the next agenda so she can address the town in person.
