"My name is Mindy Perera, and I'm here tonight as a homeowner in Chantrel Subdivision to discuss the eyesore and the mess that is currently behind the new Karl Malone dealership," said Mindy Perera during the public comment period, describing stacked inventory and an overflowing dumpster that she said blows trash down the hillside into the subdivision.
Cliff Purnia, another homeowner, backed the complaint and added concerns about intense, unshielded lighting that he said "feels like you're living in a prison yard." Both urged the council to require mitigation — including a tall solid fence and lighting adjustments — and referenced Blaine County dark‑sky practices as a possible model.
Council response: the mayor acknowledged receipt of the comments and staff indicated they had already communicated with the business. The council did not take immediate regulatory action at the meeting but accepted the public comments for follow‑up and asked staff to pursue departmental outreach and potential mitigation steps.
