Mazomanie board approves multiple alcohol, tobacco and event permits ahead of summer season

The Village of Mazomanie on June 9 approved routine Class A and Class B alcohol and tobacco licenses and a slate of temporary event permits to cover summer concerts, community events and a bluegrass festival.
Motion by Jim Marx, second by Allison Lindorfer, approved Class B beer/''Class B'' liquor combo licenses for Iron Amethyst Inn; Jax’s Bar; Parkin Inn; The Old Feed Mill; Wall Street Gallery & Bistro; D’s Depot Tavern; and Astaisora LLC (motion carried; Member Justin Martinez abstained on the combo-license vote). The Board also approved Class A beer/liquor licenses for Carr Valley Cheese (Sidney Cook), Dollar General (Jennifer Gatlin), Mazo Market (Shell) (Nishit & Shruti Patel) and Mazo Mart (Mobil) (Basra Harminder) (motion by Marx, second by Lindorfer; carried unanimously).
The Board granted Temporary Class B licenses and related street-use permits to support the Mazomanie Music Conservancy summer concert series (Lake Marion dates 8/4, 8/11, 8/18, 8/25/2026) and the First Friday in Mazo series (monthly dates through Dec. 2026), and approved event licenses for Mazomanie Home Talent (6/13/26 rain date and 7/2/26), the Mazomanie Fire Department for River Rumble 2.0 (7/24/26), and a Temporary Alcohol Beverage License combined with a street closure permit for the Gandy Dancer Bluegrass Festival (8/15/26). The Board additionally approved cigarette, tobacco and electronic vaping retail licenses for Natural Remedies LLC, Dollar General, Mazo Market (Shell) and Mazo Mart Inc (Mobil).
The actions were recorded in a series of motions (see meeting minutes). Where recorded, motions passed unanimously except for the two instances where Member Justin Martinez abstained.
