Commission unanimously approves Trees Forever Illinois Community Canopy grant application

Violet Pamintuan moved the motion; Mary Ellen Smolen seconded. The commission recorded the motion as carried "all in favor." SFFPD representative Andrew Smolen said he will submit the grant application once nursery estimates are received. The motion creates a staff pathway to prepare the application and collect nursery cost estimates; final adoption of any ordinance language or tagging program would require attorney review and trustee approval.
