Assistant town clerk posts draft LHMP sections for review; comment deadline Jan. 5

Assistant Town Clerk Colleen Kellogg reported at the Dec. 9 meeting that drafts of Sections 1 and 2 of the town's Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP) have been distributed to the planning team for review and comment, with a review deadline of Jan. 5.
Kellogg said the drafts are available for public review on the Planning Commission page of the town website (charlestonvt.org). She added that community surveys have been reviewed and their concerns integrated into the draft; the next steps include updating mitigation actions from the previous plan and proposing mitigation actions for the 2026 LHMP.
