The Common Council approved multiple ordinances during the Oct. 20 meeting. Ordinance No. 2211.6 was adopted to fix the salary and fringe benefits for the Cudahy Professional Police Association for Jan. 1–Dec. 31, 2016. The council also adopted Ordinance No. 2420 amending Subsection 18.05(8) concerning joining of parcels, and three traffic-related ordinances: No. 2422 (no parking on east side of Swift Avenue from Iona Terrace north to 5754 S. Swift Avenue), No. 2423 (no parking on the north side of Allerton Avenue from Packard Avenue to Kirkwood Avenue, except three handicapped parking spaces; prohibits U-turns and Y-turns), and No. 2424 (no parking on Barland Avenue, south from Grange Avenue). Motions to adopt were made and seconded; roll call votes for these ordinances were recorded as unanimous.
The minutes do not list mapped changes, signage timelines, or enforcement start dates for the parking ordinances. The traffic changes and parcel-joining code amendment will require staff to update ordinances on file and, for parking changes, implement signage and enforcement through the Department of Public Works or police as applicable.
