Select Board to form working group on 1 Circuit Avenue; designates town administrator for School Building Committee

Chair Dion Alley told the board a small working group will be formed to examine public-use and operating options for 1 Circuit Avenue (the Island Theatre); a formal vote on composition and appointment was scheduled for the July 28 meeting. John Robichau, who is not an Oak Bluffs resident, introduced himself and said he could structure planning, convene stakeholders and help position the project for state and private support.

Separately, the board unanimously designated Town Administrator Brough as the Select Board's representative to the School Building Committee after Select Person Emma Green-Beach said she would resign her seat on that committee. The board treated the School Building Committee designation as an administrative appointment to ensure ongoing town representation on school facility planning.
