Whitpain awards $908,200 contract for community center mechanical work

Township Manager Eric Traub told the Board the Community Center mechanical prime contract was finalized after earlier subcontractor delays and recommended awarding the work to Hirschberg Mechanical, LLC of Willow Grove at the low bid of $908,200.
Chair Scott Badami moved to award the contract, Vice Chair Kimberly Klauder seconded, and the Board voted unanimously to approve the contract award. Traub said staff will report back later in the summer with an update on progress, budget and next steps.
