Committee staff to standardize shared drive, provide written-testimony folder and embedded agendas

The committee's secretary, Irene, outlined a set of procedural changes intended to make committee materials easier for members to access. She said staff will standardize the shared-drive layout so the first file is a combined agenda and legislature file, followed by itemized agenda documents in sequence, and that members "will start seeing that."

Irene also said the staff will create a folder for online written testimony and will try to place written testimony in the shared drive before meetings when possible; the timing of updates (before or during meetings) depends on staff workflows and supervisors. She added that secretaries will email members when items are posted and that the email will include an embedded copy of the agenda in the body of the message for quick reference. Irene noted that committee rules are in the shared drive under a rules divider and that a current Department of Health and Welfare organizational chart is available in members' folders. She introduced a larger-print motion sheet to make motions easier to read and invited feedback from members.
