Lease talks advance; commission discusses building banquet-room wall so tenant can move out of barn

Chair opened the lease-negotiating update, saying the tenant has agreed to work with the commission on the remodel and that "the negotiation itself is over, and that they have agreed, to work with us on on the project remodel," while flagging a remaining PLCB doorway requirement between the snack bar and pro shop.
Members discussed building a roughly 25-foot, 2x6 partition in the banquet room so the tenant can move chairs and tables out of the barn. Lounsbury raised how to implement the work — whether the township would hire a contractor or reimburse the tenant — and noted prevailing-wage and permitting questions. Staff said the planning department and third-party plan reviewer had been involved and offered to return with a written permit and contractor plan for the commission's next meeting. The commission did not vote on construction tonight and directed staff and the lease committee to obtain engineer/permit guidance, cost estimates and a recommended procurement approach.
