Operations Manager Chuck Vertrees told the committee that Silverstar will upgrade internet service to the WWTF using a new underground fiber line from Seamans Gulch Road to the facility. Vertrees said the work requires easements from HSSC, HSTA and an adjacent property and staff are awaiting draft easement agreements for review; no construction dates were set.
Separately, Vertrees reported a small slope slide occurred on one of the dikes in early March and staff said a geo-technical engineering assessment is needed to determine necessary repairs. Staff have been spraying white top and thistle around the facility and within gates and plan monthly vegetation control. The committee did not vote on easements or repairs at the May 27 meeting.
