Staff projects about 78 million gallons available for 2025 irrigation season

Operations Manager Chuck Vertrees presented water inventory figures for the WWTF on May 21, 2025, saying current storage stood at 39.84 million gallons and average daily influent flow was 234,197 gallons per day. Using those figures, staff projected an additional 38.17 million gallons of influent over the remaining 163 days of the irrigation season, producing an approximate combined total of 78.01 million gallons available for reuse through Oct. 31, 2025 (not accounting for evaporation).
Vertrees also reported reclaimed water metered for the past week totaled 2.70 million gallons, with a weekly daily average of about 385,264 gpd. He described these figures as approximate and for planning purposes; the committee discussed how available volumes inform reuse application timing and crop selection under IDEQ guidance.
