Cox outlined near‑term goals including strengthening relationships with the district's executive cabinet, expanding the foundation's board (three new members joined in July), and concentrating funds so they produce larger, longer‑term impact rather than many small, restricted accounts. She said the foundation is forming a volunteer group of retired educators to "champion public education" and increase community outreach.
The board did not take formal action on the presentation; members thanked Cox and said they looked forward to future updates.
