The committee considered the residential habilitation agencies docket and heard that substantive provisions had been recodified into the earlier developmental-disability docket. Jared Larson summarized the repeal and consolidation and told the committee it "should be a little bit easier" because the material is consolidated into the chapter they had already approved.
Representative McCann moved to approve docket 16-0417-2501 and the committee approved the motion by voice vote after brief discussion. Committee members asked whether the governor's proposed budget changes would make these rules unnecessary; Larson said the governor's recommendation removed a piece of a rate increase, not the service itself, and that the rules would still be necessary to govern any continuing services.
