Township Manager Eric Traub outlined several pending land‑use matters and agenda items. He listed four Zoning Hearing Board cases scheduled for July 16: MEH Investments seeking special exception or use variance to permit an educational facility for individuals with autism at properties on DeKalb Pike and Second Avenue; Steve and Lisa Schafer requesting variances for a pool house at 1396 Cernan Lane; Teofilo Antonio Taveras requesting yard‑setback variances for an addition at 1662 Lafayette Way; and Montgomery County SPCA seeking multiple signage variances at 1450 Union Meeting Road. The Board took no action on those matters at this meeting.
Traub also previewed the July 21 Board meeting: the Board will be asked to vote on the conditional use application for 1730 Skippack Pike (the hearing record is closed), consider an ordinance to establish a handicap parking zone in the West Ambler neighborhood, consider an ordinance authorizing a bank loan for a new fire truck being acquired by Centre Square Fire Company, review a proposed settlement concerning stormwater at 997 Skippack Pike, and consider authorization to advertise a zoning ordinance amendment related to notification requirements. Traub emphasized the agenda is subject to change.
