Board authorizes contact with attorney to start tax-sale process; administrator named for estate tied to unpaid taxes

Clerk (Speaker 4) asked the board for permission to contact an attorney to begin the tax-sale process; Clerk named Carolyn Greaves of Ginsburg and Greaves as the attorney she would contact. Committee member (Speaker 9) moved and seconded the motion; the chair called for an 'Aye' vote and the motion passed.
Earlier in the meeting Speaker 4 reported that on May 14 they were officially appointed as administrator of the Roger Collins estate in probate court and intend to inspect and, if appropriate, sell the property to recover unpaid taxes. Board members noted the probate process is slow and that proceeds may be allocated to pay owed taxes.
