Water commission reports Tank 1 state approval; pump option could free allocations for new lots

Water Commission member Steve Boyce reported Feb. 15 that Tank 1 has received state approval and is ready to be placed into service for the Chimney Hill water system.
Boyce said a new state engineer is reviewing additional documentation on the association’s pipe-bursting proposal and that the commission is exploring an alternative solution: installing a redundant pump at Tank 3. He said the redundant pump could increase water allocations for additional lots and that the commission hopes to have the pump installed this spring to permit lot allocations this summer.
The board recorded the report as part of management updates and noted the water project remains in progress; any allocation increases would be contingent on state approvals and final engineering work.
