Morgan Polanyi told the committee the department is requesting $21,470,000 ongoing from dedicated funds for the Idaho Immunization Assessment Fund to ensure access to vaccines for children under 19. Polanyi said the governor adjusted the request upward and the updated recommendation included an adjusted ongoing dedicated appropriation of $25,399,400 plus $2,620,000 one-time to cover provider expenses.
Polanyi described the fund as ensuring access to free or low-cost vaccines and said the updated amounts were based on determinations by the Idaho Immunization Assessment Board. Committee members were given the LSO packet for specific line-item detail and the analysts offered to follow up offline for additional figures or clarifications.
No committee action occurred during the presentation; members may request further breakdowns before budget decisions are finalized.
