Jared Larson briefed the committee on the Idaho radiation-control rules docket, telling members the rewrite reduces rule text by roughly 70% and removes incorporation-by-reference to make the rules clearer. He said all license fees are unchanged and that new language requires out-of-state licensees operating in Idaho to register within 30 days.
"All license fees are unchanged by this rule," Larson said; he also said the department had added a registration requirement for out-of-state operators. Representative Redmond moved to approve the docket; the committee approved the motion by voice vote.
The rewrite aims to simplify compliance for radiology licensees and clarify registration obligations for operators based out of state. The department put technical staff on hand for any follow-up questions.
