Water commission: Tank 3 permits under state review; hydrant test planned

Steve Boyce, reporting for the Water Commission, said the association's water-upgrade work continues and that the state is currently reviewing permits for the Tank 3 transfer pumps. "The state is currently reviewing permits for the tank 3 transfer pumps," Boyce said. The commission is also gathering quotes for electrical work and engineering for the B tank and pump house.
James Walker added that he is working with state officials on additional water allocations as upgrades proceed. The fire department is slated to test and flush the new hydrant in the next few weeks as part of system commissioning.
