The commission approved four consent calendar items by voice vote, including: 1) a Mohave Life of Mine Reclamation Plan amendment for Cal Portland Company involving a 4,367-acre project with EIR certification and related CUP approvals; 2) a vested mining‑rights request for Unisim North America covering about 206 acres; 3) a conditional use permit for C and C Acquisition Group LLC to place a prefabricated dwelling and large accessory unit in Bakersfield; and 4) a conditional use permit for Jose Angel Centeno for temporary RV occupancy on a 23‑acre parcel in Kern River Valley.
Earlier in the meeting staff (Mister Murphy) announced two items recommended for continuance — Case 1 (ACC Bakersfield JV LLC) and Item 7 (Galaxy Solar Storage LLC) — to the 08/27/2026 hearing; the commission voted to continue those items. Murphy also reminded the public that planning commission actions may be appealed to the Board of Supervisors within 14 days with a filing fee ($562) and provided the Planning Department contact information.
