Hidden Springs Community Farm opens season with strong volunteer turnout

Farm Manager Lyndsey Mulherin and volunteers reported that the Hidden Springs Community Farm season opened April 14 with robust community involvement. Organizers said 36 volunteers are currently registered, pre-season work sessions prepared beds and raspberry rows, and opening-day activities included a tractor parade and a Farm Bingo event for children.
Donations helped offset costs: Edwards Greenhouse donated $50 for seeds and starts and a volunteer donated perennial plants for the Serenity Garden. The farm plans a series of Master Gardener presentations and a workshop on herb propagation on May 13.
