Board hears ongoing chiller delays that have left parts and AC repairs pending

The Amery School District board was briefed on multiple ongoing facilities problems including incomplete roof work and a multi-week failure of the high school chiller system that has left classrooms and a daycare relying on temporary cooling. Steve (speaker 4), reporting for building and grounds, said the district has been unable to obtain parts under warranty and is dependent on the manufacturer and installer to deliver and install parts promised this month.
"We are held hostage to the manufacturer and the installer," Steve said, noting two parts were expected to ship and be installed on the 27th. Board members described daily email efforts to secure the repairs and said the lack of a functioning chiller had been particularly hard on the daycare program despite portable units and other temporary steps. The board did not take formal action on the repair schedule but asked administration to continue pressing the vendor and report back at the next meeting.
