Fairfax County transportation planners told Transportation Talks that the county updated its Transportation Demand Management (TDM) guidelines effective July 1. "As of last Wednesday, so the July 1, we updated our TDM guidelines for Fairfax County," said Matthew Koprowick, explaining the guidelines set expectations for TDM proffers in new entitlement cases.
Koprowick said the updates include higher rates informed by 13 years of program data and require more stringent reporting in some cases. He emphasized the changes apply only to new cases entering the entitlement process and that existing proffers remain unchanged unless a site re-enters entitlement and seeks modifications.
