Staff gave homeowners a high‑level schedule estimate, emphasizing that easement acquisition and future construction funding are the main scheduling unknowns. The presenter said that, excluding easement acquisition, design typically takes about 1 to 1.5 years and once easements are resolved construction may add roughly another 1 to 1.5 years, with total time from first letter to completion commonly around 4.5–5 years.
"So you're looking about somewhere around 2 to 3 years typically... but once you physically get into construction... for this project, probably about another year and 0.5. So right now... you're looking at 4.5 to 5 years pretty much said and done," the presenter said. Staff reiterated the project is funded only for design at present; construction will be prioritized as part of the county's capital improvement and funding allocation process.
Staff invited the HOA to keep in touch as the design progresses and said they will provide additional milestone presentations and outreach as the project moves through design checkpoints.
