Council reappoints members to Council on Aging and Planning Commission

The Tangipahoa Parish Council on Oct. 27 approved multiple board appointments. The council reappointed Kevin Spansel to a first term after serving an unexpired term (District 5) and Farrah Laciura to a second term (District 4), and approved a new appointment of LouAnn Leblanc to a first term (District 9) on the Tangipahoa Voluntary Council on Aging; all three terms expire in October 2028. The council also reappointed Wade Smith to a first term after serving an unexpired term (District 6) and Aron Walker to a second term (District 3) on the Planning Commission; both Planning Commission terms expire October 2030.
Motions to approve the appointments were made and seconded and the roll calls recorded unanimous YEA votes. Legal counsel Brad Cascio later commented on his service relating to the Council on Aging and outlined the board's role supporting elderly citizens in the community.
