Board backs recommending Generac Foundation as presenting sponsor for Jamboree 2026

The Parks Board recommended that the common council consider a proposed sponsorship agreement naming the Generac Foundation as the presenting sponsor for Jamboree 2026. Staff described a draft agreement provided by Generac, reviewed by the city attorney and event staff, and said the sponsor requested certain detailed benefits and an indemnification clause; the city attorney provided clarified language in that proposed paragraph.
“The amount of money that is requested for a 1 year sponsorship is $12,000,” said Deb, the staff presenter, who noted the funds would be deposited to account 5920.45820. Board members moved and seconded a recommendation to the common council; the board voted unanimously to send the sponsorship agreement to council for approval.
Staff said final acceptance of a major-gift agreement will require city-council approval and Generac’s internal board sign-off; the park board’s recommendation forwards the negotiated draft for the council’s review.
