The Preston City Council approved the final plat for Saddle Crossing Subdivision Phase III on Jan. 26. The phase covers about 4 acres and creates nine lots, each meeting or exceeding the city's 10,000 square‑foot minimum; two lots may support triplexes subject to restrictions. The developer will deed a 0.4‑acre parcel north of the development to the city prior to final plat signing.
Staff set the bond amount at $896,000. Director Shawn Oliverson noted an outstanding issue with survey monument filing and said a correction petition has been filed; the council approved the plat contingent on completion of the monument paperwork and execution of a development agreement. The motion passed by majority vote (Councilmember Brent Dodge recorded a Nay).
